The program maps different literary movements across cultures, genres, theories and languages. Indian Literature in translation is a vital constituent of the curriculum. It offers a plethora of opportunities to learn innovative aspects of language and literature.
The study explores various literatures, traverse across borders covering traditional genres and literary periods, scans into the works of great writers like Shakespeare, Dickens, Charlotte Bronte, Tagore, Amitav Ghosh, V.S. Naipaul, Christopher Marlowe, Bama, and many more. It also introduces the learners to the social and literary history of England, Literature of America, India and Commonwealth nations along with some of the prominent critics.
Learning is made interesting with interactive seminars and discussions such as Critiquing, Socratic Dialogues, Reviews etc. Eminent writers and journalists are invited to deliberate on diverse topics pertaining to language and literature. Hands-on-training is rendered to the learners through workshops on trending topics like Story Telling, Content Writing, Poetry writing, Public Speaking, Accent Building, Blogging, Vlogging, and Theatre Arts.
In addition to literature, the focus is laid on enhancing the communication and soft skills through student seminars, presentations, online practice tests and field researches.
