The KCLAS Economics undergraduate BA programme offers a sophisticated blend of theoretical, quantitative, and practical courses spanning three years. Core, Allied, and Elective courses empower students to tailor their focus, fostering specialization in their areas of interest. Foundational subjects like Micro and Macroeconomics lay the groundwork, while specialized courses in Development Economics, Monetary Economics, International Economics, and Public Finance, among others, complement these by incorporating quantitative elements like Mathematical Economics, Statistics, and Econometrics.
Throughout the program, there’s a deliberate focus on Econometrics, recognizing its pivotal role in our evolving world. Each semester systematically introduces vital tools, gradually building a comprehensive understanding by breaking down the curriculum into manageable segments. By the program’s culmination, students acquire the essential knowledge and expertise required to confidently pursue advanced education or research opportunities, empowering them for their academic or professional journey ahead.
Applied economics modules such as Agricultural Economics, Industrial Economics, Demography, and Tourism enrich the learning experience by bridging theory with real-world applications. Additionally, skill-centric courses in Financial Accounting, Trade Documentation, and Computer Applications enhance the overall value of the program.

The students are exposed to Master Classes by eminent guests from academia, industry bodies and policy think tanks. Hands-on workshops, tailor made certificate course each semester, field works, online courses, industrial visits, Internships, Experiential learning give students an in-depth knowledge of the current trends in the field of specialization.
