Workshop on Content Writing

Department of English organized a workshop on ‘Content Writing’ on September 12, 2019. It was conducted by Ms. Shakina Mohol, an ELT Material Developer with Cambridge University Press and Training Consultant at British Council, Pune. She inducted the students about content writing in five stages. She introduced content writing through some icebreaker activities. Then she explained how people read on the web through some examples. She explored the skill of chunking in writing and using five senses to describe something. This led to the fourth stage where the students learnt to write impactful introductions and sub-headings. She ended the workshop with assigning students to identify theme according to their departments and writing articles for their blog.
