Workshop – ‘Business Analytics using MS Excel’ – 11 March 2020 - Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts & Science (KCLAS)

Department of Mathematics organised a workshop titled, ‘Business Analytics using MS Excel’ on 11th March ,2020 from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm at Lecture Hall 8,KCLAS. Dr. Susana.D, Assistant Professor-Finance, KCT-Business School started the session with the role and importance of Excel in various fields. Ms.Ankitha. of I BCom (PA), welcomed everyone and highlighted the achievements of the resource person.

The application of dispersion over measures of central tendency was discussed using graphs. The trends in car sale can be analysed and productions may be planned accordingly. Correlation measure in two ways was discussed and the data analytics method is better for analysis purpose as the level of significance will also be displayed in addition to probability value. After evaluating and assessing the correlation between the variables regression analysis was done. Regression lines are fitted to know further about the decision of business growth and the impact of inputs used. Adjusted R2 values obtained indicated the strength of the linear empirical regression model obtained.
