Department of Commerce organised a Guest Talk on Indian Contract Act – Case Studies for I B.Com PA students on 29/01/2020. The Resource person was Mr. Harsha Shekar, Ford Motor Company, Saravanampatti, Coimbatore. He was a Nalandian Graduate and completed the Zone Training in the same year. He had completed 184 workshops including School, College and Corporates. He has Piloted and Co-piloted several events. The Highlight was the Speech in Hyderabad for an Audience of 2500 for College beginners. He has done Corporate environment training to B-schools as well. As a passion towards training, he has conducted multiple workshops at Government schools in and around Coimbatore related to topics like Image building and Career guidance. He has served as a Suicidal councillor intern. Student Psychology was his keen interest and was a visiting Student Psychology Councillor at Bharathiar University for 6 months and Anna University for 3 months at Coimbatore. He has served as voice accent trainer for two Aviation Companies.
The session started with a welcome address and Introduction of Guest by Ms. Ankitha .V of I B.Com PA. He began the session with an introduction of Indian Contract Act. He elucidated the important terminologies of contract with real life situations as examples. He explained the difference between trade agreement and contract. He discussed four case studies and also about the Indemnity and Bailment in the session. He further explained how our Indian Constitution and Contract influence us. At the end of the session, he raised basic questions related to Indian Constitution to the students. The session was closed with a vote thanks by Mr. Akilesh. J.S of I B.Com PA. Overall the session was interesting and informative.
