Department of visual communication had organized a guest lecture on “A competitive edge with professional AR and VR” by Mrs Jennifer June Academician- media technology Karunya university, Coimbatore, on 01. 10. 2019. Mrs Jennifer started the session by providing the basic information about AR and VR. She first made clear the difference of between AR and VR.

Mrs Jennifer gave some real-life examples where we were using augmented reality. She demonstrated and projected some videos. She explained the importance of virtual reality and augmented reality in future and its scope and value. Mrs Jennifer displayed some of the videos by her students which happened in her college. She gave a clear explanation on the technology of AR and VR. Jennifer created a curiosity among students by detailing the system of AR and VR. Her interactive talk and interesting videos gave a great impact. Students came across many new technical terms and technology behind the AR and VR.
