Introduction
I have completed my BA in Psychology (Hons) at MITWPU, Pune, and MSc. In Clinical Psychology at Jain University, Bangalore. I have also cleared the UGC NET exam, qualifying for PhD and Assistant Professorship. Since 2023, I have worked as a Psychologist and Researcher at MindTribe Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., and then, as a Student Mentor at Mann-Vedh, a Centre for Psychological Well-being. I have continued my work as a therapist for more than 2 years, working with people with stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and trauma-related concerns.
Research Achievements and Activities
- Bachelor’s dissertation: A quantitative, correlational research on the effect of degree of religiosity and parent-peer influence on the body image of young adults in India.
- Master’s dissertation: A qualitative, phenomenological research on the conceptualization of body image in young adults in India, and the role of parents.
- Research with the MindTribe research team: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis to Investigate the Impact of Helicopter Parenting on Psychological Well-Being and Mental Health Outcomes of Indian Adults.
- Research paper presentation at the International Conference 2023 on Health Sciences hosted by the Professional Institute of Business, Bangladesh, in association with the Indian Academy of Health Psychology, India.
Vision
I want to make education in psychology accessible and fun, and to help teach empathy, responsibility, and a sense of strong personal well-being in students, regardless of whether they choose to continue in the field of psychology.
