EUROVOGUE 2026: See Europe. Express Europe. Experience Europe.

Organised by Kumaraguru Global Language Centre (KGLC) in collaboration with the Fashion and Textile Department, KCT

Kumaraguru Institutions celebrated European Languages Day through EUROVOGUE 2026, a vibrant celebration of European languages, cultures, creativity, and identity. With the theme “See Europe. Express Europe. Experience Europe.”, the event brought together 30 teams from across Kumaraguru Institutions through three engaging challenges: EUROVISION, EUROIDENTITY, and EUROMISSION.

The inaugural ceremony featured inspiring addresses by the dignitaries. Chief Guest Mrs. Alka Nichani, Co-editor of the Rotary District Magazine, highlighted the power of languages in connecting people and cultures. Dr. Deepesh C, Principal, KCLAS, reflected on how the same words can carry different meanings in different contexts. Prof. Pavendan, Associate Dean, Textile Cluster, KCT, shared insights from his visit to Paris in 1997, connecting his experience with the importance of cultural understanding.

Bringing these perspectives together, Mrs. Magdalene Clipitha Dominic, Lead, KGLC, shared Nelson Mandela’s timeless message: “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.” The message reinforced the central purpose of the celebration: languages are not merely tools of communication but bridges to hearts, cultures, and opportunities.

The day concluded with the Department of B.Com, KCLAS, receiving the Overall Championship Trophy, recognising the team’s collective participation and performance.

Kumaraguru Global Language Centre believes that language is a skill that opens doors to greater opportunities. Through expert-led learning and cultural experiences, KGLC encourages learners to discover new languages, broaden their perspectives, and prepare for a globally connected world.
