In a World of pawns and knights, Sunny stands tall,
A chessboard maestro, weaving strategies for all.
Geopolitics and minds, his curious quests,
In the realm of knowledge, he never rests.
Hardworking and helpful, punctual to the care,
A wealth of wisdom, always eager to explore.
Entrepreneurial dreams with a heart so grand,
To uplift society and enrich his homeland.
Sunny funny, they call with a smile so wide,
Yet sometimes annoying, with energy united.
Self-doubt may linger, a shadow in his quest,
But it fuels his drive, pushing him to be the best.
No Instagram fame, no chasing fleeting trends,
Focused on purpose, where true influence extends.
A beacon of hopes in India’s vast land,
with dreams and diligence, he is destined to stand.

My time here has not been that long.
But I’ve had a colourful
Rollercoaster like journey,
Experiencing new things
Still unsure of where I stand
Or where I’m going.
I live in the now, never worrying.
You could call it irresponsible
Or you could call me a sage.
I love black but I also like
White. So you could say
Grey’s my favourite colour.
Novels were my oxygen.
You’ll always find me
Drowned in them.
Lost by reality, found by hope.
I wish for inner peace
And to be loved.
The curse of being unique
No one like you
And no one likes you.
But I still wake up
Eager to fuel the warmth of the sun.
I see these words written by me
Curveing their way through the page.
I feel nice!

I’m Hemaa Harrini.T from the Data Science department! I recently had the opportunity to participate in a workshop on Empathetic Leadership led by Ms. Jeevitha during one of the workshops in our Ignite session. Let me tell you, it was an eye-opening experience that went way beyond presentations and lectures.
Walking into the room, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But Ms. Jeevitha, the resource person of this session had a way of making things fun and engaging from the get-go. One of the first activities involved sticking a piece of paper on our backs and having everyone write compliments for each other. Now, there were a lot of new faces, so it started off a little challenging. But then, the magic happened. As we read aloud the kind words written about us, the atmosphere filled with warmth and appreciation. It really highlighted the power of giving and receiving compliments, something I hadn’t quite considered before.
Next, we were thrown into teamwork mode. Our mission? To build the tallest tower possible using spaghetti sticks and a single Makhana (foxnut) at the top. Now, this seemed like an impossible feat at first. But that’s where the true learning began. Being in a team pushed us to see things from different perspectives. We brainstormed together, prioritizing a strong foundation for our tower. Through open communication and cooperation, we managed to build a successful tower – all thanks to teamwork!
Following the activity, we reflected on our experience. We wrote about the strategy we used, the challenges we faced, and how we overcame them as a team. These activities were fantastic icebreakers, helping me connect with new people and understand their thought processes.
The biggest takeaway for me? Teamwork is truly the key to achieving big things. This workshop wasn’t just about coming up with ideas; it was about getting down to work, understanding your teammates, and fostering cooperation and communication. That, in my opinion, is the essence of empathetic leadership. It’s a crucial quality for anyone, and this workshop provided a truly impactful way to develop those leadership skills.
I’m so grateful for this experience and I can’t wait to participate in more workshops like this one in the future!
