After the resounding success of Bastille Day 2025, which brought together over 300 enthusiastic participants, Kumaraguru Institutions is proud to host the 2025 edition a grand celebration of French culture, language, and artistic expression.

This event is a tribute to the values of “Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité” offering a dynamic platform for students, educators, and French language enthusiasts across the country to showcase their talents through music, painting, and digital media.

Competitions and Categories

On-Campus Competitions (Grades 6 to 12)

French Song Singing

Team size: 3 to 5 members
Language: French only
Duration: 3–4 minutes
Karaoke tracks allowed
Registration fee: ₹350 per team

Painting Competition

Team size: 3 members
Theme: The French Revolution
Duration: 90 minutes
Art kits provided on campus – Canvas A4 Size and Acrylic Paint
Registration fee: ₹250 per team

Online Competitions

Digital Poster Design (College Students)

Individual entry
Theme: France & Me or Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité
Format: JPEG or PNG
Registration fee: ₹100 per individual

Reel Submission (French Teachers and Scholars)

Individual entry
Theme: What Bastille Day Means to Me
Duration: 30 seconds
Registration fee: ₹100 per individual

Late entries will not be accepted
Separate link to upload the posters and reels will be shared after registration

Rules and Guidelines

General

Open to school and college students, and professionals across India
Language of communication: French or English
Valid ID cards must be presented by all participants on event day
The decisions of the jury are final and binding

For Singing Competition

Pre-recorded tracks must be submitted in advance if used
Judging criteria: Pronunciation, Harmony, Creativity, Stage Presence

For Painting Competition

No external materials allowed
Judging criteria: Creativity, Artistic Skill, Relevance to Theme

For Online Events

One submission per participant
Plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification

Prizes and Recognition

Certificates for all participants

Rolling Trophy for the Overall Champion Institution #Trophy to be returned by 30th April of the subsequent year.
