He thanked the families for their trust and wished the graduates continued success. \nPresidential Address by Shri Shankar Vanavarayar\, President\, Kumaraguru Institutions\nThe Graduation Ceremony of Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science (KCLAS) was marked by heartfelt reflection and celebration\, with Shri Shankar Vanavarayar\, President of Kumaraguru Institutions\, delivering an inspiring Presidential Address. \nShri Shankar emphasized that graduation was not merely about receiving a degree but about acknowledging years of perseverance\, family support\, and personal ambition. He reminded the graduates that the degree represents not just knowledge but also responsibility — to themselves\, their families\, and the future of India\, especially as the nation moves toward its centenary in 2047. \nHe also underlined the importance of continuous learning\, resilience\, and staying connected to one’s roots. Drawing attention to the evolving global and national landscape\, he encouraged graduates to be curious\, to engage with the world thoughtfully\, and to remain adaptable. \nHe urged the graduates to craft bold visions for their future\, to return to KCLAS often for inspiration\, and to remain grateful to all who contributed to their journey. He extended his heartfelt wishes to the graduating class\, expressing pride in their achievements and confidence in their bright futures. \nDuring the Graduation Day Address – Amb. Pankaj Saran\, Former Indian Diplomat Inspires KCLAS Graduates to Embrace Fearlessness and Character\nFormer Indian diplomat Amb. Pankaj Saran urged graduates to step into the future with courage\, integrity\, and compassion. He commended Kumaraguru Institutions for fostering an environment where tradition and modernity coexist\, and for shaping young minds ready to face the challenges of the world. \nAddressing the graduating students\, Amb. Saran emphasized the transformative power of a college education\, which he said liberates minds and opens doors to infinite possibilities. Drawing from personal experience\, he encouraged students to embrace uncertainty and to experiment fearlessly. Sharing his own journey — from an engineering student to an economics graduate to eventually becoming a diplomat — Amb. Saran illustrated how life often unfolds in unexpected ways. He emphasized that it is perfectly acceptable not to have all the answers immediately after graduation\, and that experimentation\, coupled with courage\, often leads to one’s true calling. \nAmb. Saran offered three key lessons: be fearless\, respect and believe in oneself\, and accept failure as a fundamental part of life. He spoke about the irreplaceable value of time and energy in youth and urged students to seize the moment. Stressing the importance of maintaining both mental and physical well-being\, he advised the young graduates to find balance in life\, pick up hobbies\, and stay physically active. \nReflecting on the current global context\, Amb. Saran highlighted the paradox of a world that is increasingly interconnected yet fractured. He noted that technological revolutions\, especially in AI\, quantum computing\, and biotechnology\, are reshaping the world\, and he challenged the students to think critically about how technology can be harnessed for the greater good. \nAmb. Saran also emphasized the importance of communication skills\, stating that in a world overwhelmed by information and disinformation\, the ability to communicate clearly and thoughtfully would be an essential skill for success. He further urged graduates to nurture an entrepreneurial spirit\, encouraging them not just to seek jobs but to create opportunities for others. \nHe called upon the graduates to celebrate their “Indianness” and highlighted India’s rise as a global leader\, expressing confidence that the coming decades would mark a transformational era for the nation. Amb. Saran reminded the graduates that they were stepping into a golden age of opportunity\, with the world looking to India for leadership and innovation. With heartfelt wishes for their future\, he said\, “It’s a great time to be an Indian\, a great time to be a graduate of Kumaraguru\, and a great time to be alive.”
