I have completed my M.Phil Degree in the field of health economics from Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai. I have pursued my Bachelor’s and Master degree in economics from Stella Maris College, Chennai. My master degree dissertation was with respect to marketing and behavourial economics. My area of interest lies in the new emerging branches of economics like environmental economics, health economics, gender economics and behavioural economics, as it has lot of practical applications to dealt it. I had worked in Madras Institute of Development Studies as Research Assistant for a period of 10 months. The project was funded by Tamil Nadu State Wetland Authority. During my master degree, I had done my intern in Salem Urban Co-operative bank for a duration of one month, where I helped the authorities in compiling a research report about the effective functioning of the co-operative banks in Salem. I had presented papers in national and international conferences, and also published papers in journals with regard to organic farming.
I am an avid reader and writer. Next my passion lies in cooking. I wish to explore food of different cuisines and want to be an expert in culinary field in future. Besides that, I am always interested in exploring many new things in life.
A very positive person who believes in celebrating similarities and respecting differences among fellow beings. A learner and my quest for learning never ends.
My vision is to be a good teacher and researcher where I should motivate the young minds in the right diection and make them a better citizen of our country.
My parents and teachers are the biggest inspiration of my life. My parents were school drop outs but they understood the value of education and made me study so far. My teachers have inspired me to take up teacher as my career.
